Who I Am
Kimati Ramsey

“Transformation is everyone’s sacred birthright.”

Thank you for being here. I’m Kimati Ramsey, a narrative architect, ghostwriter, speaker, and UC Berkeley graduate. For more than a decade, I’ve helped leaders and organizations turn complexity into stories people trust, remember, and live by.

My life and work were profoundly shaped by a fifteen-year friendship and creative partnership with the late, great George “Coach” Raveling, Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer, former Nike executive, and one of the most revered leadership minds in sports, business, and culture. I was his ghostwriter, creative strategist, and trusted collaborator.

In 2019, I co-founded The Daily Coach, a leadership media company and daily newsletter that inspired more than 50,000 readers across sports, business, and education.

Today, I partner with executives, coaches, athletes, and organizations on identity, purpose, leadership, and transformation. I believe transformation is everyone’s sacred birthright. Through writing, speaking, and facilitated sessions with leadership teams, sports teams, and students, I help people better understand who they are, what they’re made for, and how to leave people and places better than they found them.

I also write The Human Work, a weekly newsletter on the inner work of leadership and transformation.

I’m grateful you found your way here. Looking forward to being of service.

Kimati is an intellectual and undeniable leader who possesses a powerful and necessary voice destined to be heard and shared. I believe wholeheartedly that his voice, leadership, and vision have the capacity to impact generations.

As a child growing up on the grim streets of Richmond, California, the expectation that I would reach prison was met. However, Kimati held a different expectation for me. One that said my prior setbacks in life were the catalyst to a successful comeback along my journey of redemption. Kimati allowed space for healing to be present.
